Curriculum
Pre-K and K Catechesis: The first formal catechesis begins with our 4 year old religious education program. In the Pre-School Program, the children celebrate God's gift of life; focus on sharing, forgiving, growing; and are introduced to a God who loves them very much.

Grades 1 - 8: The children grow and continue to be formed in gospel values and in their understanding and appreciation of what our worshipping community is through participation in class, prayer, liturgy, and service activities.

The student is expected to make attendence at Religious Education class a top priority in his/her life. Students are expected to be prompt, attentive, respectful, and participative. All students 1-8 are required to complete 30 hours of religious study each school year.

Grades Pre-K, K, and 1:
Sunday 9:00 - 10:00AM

Grades 2 - 8:
Tuesday 4:25 - 5:30 PM
Wednesday 4:25 - 5:30 PM
Wednesday 6:30 - 7:35 PM

Reconciliation & Eucharist

Children who have completed the first grade religion curriculum are eligible to be candidates for the reception of Reconciliation and Eucharist.

Confirmation

Children who have completed seven years of religious instruction are eligible to be candidates for the sacrament of Confirmation, since the sacrament is administered in the eighth grade. Exceptions to the above two criteria must be discussed with the Pastor or Director of Religious Education. Information concerning the Sacramental programs is mailed to parents having children in grades 2 and 8 in August.

Mother Teresa Media Center
The Religious Education Office maintains a library that contains spiritual reading and audio-visual materials for all ages. Located in the church lobby, the library is open at all times. Please follow the rules for use of the materials posted in the center.
