Fall Baseball - St. Leo Athletic Association is sponsoring fall baseball for boys ages 8 - 13 as of July 31 of this year. Games are played on Saturday or Sunday afternoons from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. The season begins September 6 and ends October 19. This is a low intensity program with no records kept or championships awarded and minimal practices. The objective is honing skills both as individual players and as teams while in competition with teams from other areas. Registration is at St. Leo Church on Monday, July 28 at 8:00 PM in room 3. Cost is $30 per player. Additional details will be given at registration. Please note: Coaches and players are needed for all age groups. If there are not enough players or coaches to sign up, we will not be able to field the teams. Grocery Certificate Program - Our grocery certificate program directly benefits St. Leo's Parish without any additional expense from parishioners. Parishioners are asked to purchase gift certificates for their own use at various local grocery stores. St. Leo's then received a nominal portion. All you need to do to help the parish is: 1. Choose the store(s) you wish to shop. 2. Determine the amount of certificates you wish to buy. 3. Purchase certificates from Church after weekend masses or purchase certificates from the School Office. It's that simple! For each dollar purchased through this program, St. Leo's receives a 5% rebate. Participating stores are Giant, Weis, Darrenkamps, John Herrs, Stauffers (including the Garden Center) and Redner's. A little planning with everyone's grocery budget will greatly benefit the parish. Attention All Teens - The Senior High youth group frequently has many activities and meetings planned. Please refer to the calendar above for specific activities and meeting dates. The Junior High youth group meets once or twice per month (usually on a Monday). Again, please refer to the calendar above for specific activities and meeting dates for the Junior High group. Generally, youth group meetings of any kind are held in the Weber Activities Center (WAC). Permission slips and more information about meeting and Youth events can be obtained from the Coordinator of Youth Ministry, Mrs. Mary Ellen Reitmeyer. The phone number for the Youth Office is (717) 394-1035 or email youth_ministry@stleos.org. Check out the Youth Ministry section on the Parish web site... Visit the Youth Page now!
